Beetle Inspections are done on accessible timber excluding freestanding structures for notifaiable beetle infestation by Hylotrupes Bajulus (Italian beetle) and Oxypleuris Nodieri (Brown House Borer) and where necessary treated with poison before a certificate is issued

The “ Plumbing Certificate” affecting only the City of Cape Town, came into being on 18 February 2011, requiring a Certificate of Compliance of the Water Installation Issued by an Accredited Plumber, on transfer of ownership of a property.

The plumber must certify that the water meter is registering, that there are no water leaks and storm water is not entering the sewerage system. The Transferring Attorney must submit the COC to the City of Cape Town Prior registration of the property.
